Regenzeit

Heute scheint nun definitiv die Regenzeit begonnen zu haben. Es hat den ganzen Tag geregnet. Zudem hat die Stromgesellschaft auch noch den Strom den ganzen Tag abgeschaltet, so, dass die Bäume entlang den Stromleitungen gestutzt werden konnten. Diese Massnahme wurde nötig, weil bereits der erste Taifun im Pazifik vorbei gezogen ist. Im vergangenen Jahr waren es sage und schreibe 20 Taifuns, die das Land peitschten. Dabei ist mit hohen Windgeschwindigkeiten und z.T. starken Regenfällen zu rechnen. Warm ist es hier aber dennoch. Heute war ich mit einigen Leuten auf einem Tricycle unterwegs. Das ist ein Motorrad mit einem Seitenwagen. Die max. Personenzahl, die ich bisher auf einem Tricycle zählen konnte war 11 – inklusive Fahrer. Bei dieser Fahrt nun wurde ich nass, weil mir der Regen entgegen kam. Doch kalt war mir deshalb nicht. Ich habe mich nur gewundert, dass sich der Regen so warm wie „Badewasser“ anfühlt.

Rainy season

Today started definitively the rainy season. The whole day it is raining. But of course I have been waiting for the rain together with many farmers. Moreover the electricity company stoped the currency for cutting trees along the wires. This was necessary because of the typhoons during the rainy season. Last year – people say – they had around 20 typhoons, which stroke the country. Then we have to anticipate with high wind rate and hard rain. Anyhow it’s still warm here. So I was riding a tricycle – that’s a typical motorcycle with sidecar – with some friends. Because it was raining I got wet by the rain and water from the street. But I didn’t feel cold. So I was pondering, why is it like bath tube? Of course it is because of the tropical area. And this also is the reason for the rainy season > a warm pacific ocean, which turns on the low pressure to become a typhoon...
