Snakes

In the swiss newsletter of the police I read about a king cobra they catched in a field in ice cold Switzerland. Afterwards they found out, it was just a man made rubber snake. What a surprise?

I'm sure, here in the Philippines, this will not happen. Recently I was on my way to the people in their barangays with some companions. Suddenly we stopped. In front of us was just a snake very busy trying to hide in the nearby grass. It was a cobra - probably not a king cobra. But I don't like to find out about.

The snake was - thank god - fast enough, that I couldn't take a picture of it. I realized, that this animals try to hide and not to fight with humans. Shortly after this incident I saw in the City of Alaminos a man with a white beard. He was playing with a green cobra in front of a store to amuse the people gatherd around.

Sure he was successful. Everybody was staying around in safe distance and frightened as well. Once again, I saw, that the snake hardly tried to bite or to attack. It was more frightened to death then anybody around. Poor snake.

I hope, all of us can walk or crawl our way in peace even in the future of our life.
